The holiday season is full of merriment, joy, and festive fun, which is why we consider it to be one of the most magical times of year here at the Combsberry Inn in Oxford. From the holiday decorations to the local events, we love every minute of celebrating. Of course New Year’s Eve is another fantastic excuse to celebrate while reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the year ahead. Both New Year’s Eve and Christmas Eve fall on a Thursday this year, which means it’s the perfect opportunity to take a well-deserved, long weekend at the Combsberry Inn. There’s still plenty of time to book your stay with us, whether you are looking for a little holiday magic or in search of a New Year’s Eve celebration. Take a look at what’s happening in our area over the next few weekends and start making plans for your own festive fun!
A Christmas Story at the Historic Avalon Theatre
When one of our favorite holiday movies gets played at one of our favorite area theaters, well, we drop everything and make plans to attend! The beloved holiday classic, A Christmas Story, will be recreated at the theater, featuring Talbot County friends, family and children. The Avalon Foundation’s play is their biggest fundraiser of the year and an Eastern Shore tradition that shouldn’t be missed.
