Calling all runners! The flattest, fastest 13.1 run in the Mid Atlantic is just around the corner…the St. Michaels Running Festival! Scheduled for May 21, 2016 and just a little over a month away, now is the time to register for the race and make your plans to stay with us at the Combsberry Inn during race weekend.

The Annual St. Michaels Running Festival is one of the premier destination races in the Mid-Atlantic. With scenic water views and peaceful runs through the flat countryside, it’s no wonder runners look forward to this event each year. Hosted by one of the oldest waterfront towns on the Chesapeake, runners will enjoy all that St. Michaels has to offer both during and after the race. This race has two options: a 13.1 mile run or a 5K. This year’s race also includes a 1K Kids Fun Run for children ages 12 and under. After the race(s), join the after-party in downtown St. Michaels for the awards ceremony, music, beer and more! The Runners Village and Beer Garden will remain open until noon, at which time we suggest taking a stroll around St. Michaels with family and friends to enjoy all that the historic town has to offer, including museums, shopping, and dining. Stop by the local distillery or brew pub, grab lunch at a local restaurant, or simply enjoy a beautiful spring day along Main Street. There’s a little something for everyone to enjoy in St. Michaels!

St. Michaels is just short drive from our cozy Inn, which means we are the perfect place for your tired feet to rest during race weekend. Get a peaceful and sound night’s sleep at the Inn and wake up refreshed and ready for your big race. After the race day fun, enjoy the many amenities that we have to offer here at Combsberry, from a relaxing bubble bath in your room to an evening of cheese and wine in our secret garden. Join us May 20th through May 22nd for race weekend!

During our off-season from November to March, the Cottage and Carriage House will be available for rent with a 20% off discount to accommodate for a temporary absence of breakfast.
