One of our favorite aspects of the Inn is the beautiful landscape and scenic waters that we are lucky enough to enjoy all year-long, which is why we try to support clean water initiatives for our rivers and bays whenever possible. Tour de Talbot aims to do exactly that, with a 62, 35, or 20 mile bike ride to raise donations for the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy. Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Choptank River, Eastern Bay, and the Miles and Wye Rivers, all valuable and viable parts of our local ecosystem that we at Combsberry have come to greatly appreciate and love. As such, we are inviting YOU to join us in protecting our waters by showing your support for the annual Tour de Talbot.

Scheduled for Sunday, September 20, the 11th Annual Tour de Talbot Ride for Clean Rivers features 62-mile, 35-mile, and 20-mile rides, each starting at Chesapeake College in Wye River and culminating in an outdoor barbeque celebration. Participants will experience the beautiful backroads of Talbot and Queen Anne’s Counties – we can certainly attest to the fact that our nearby bike routes offer incredible sights and ideal biking conditions with smooth, winding roads.

Located just a short drive from the start and finish lines of the race, we are perfectly situated for your stay. Unwind after the race in the luxury of one of our rooms, enjoy a sunset on the dock, or take a peaceful stroll along our property. September affords our guests with some of the best weather of the entire year, take advantage of it while enjoying a spectacular bike ride for an outstanding cause. It’s time for a little R&R (ride and rest)…at the Combsberry Inn!

During our off-season from November to March, the Cottage and Carriage House will be available for rent with a 20% off discount to accommodate for a temporary absence of breakfast.
